Rhiwbina Tennis Club is one of the most successful tennis clubs in the Cardiff area and Wales.
We are a very friendly club situated in the heart of Rhiwbina Village in North Cardiff. Tennis has been played at the club for over 100 years, and the facilities have been developed to a high standard. We have 7 hard courts (3 floodlit) and a new modern pavilion built in 2011. As part of Rhiwbina Recreation Club we enjoy the use of two bars (with a full-time steward), large function rooms, changing rooms with shower facilities and access to other sporting sections, such as squash, rugby, indoor & outdoor bowls, table tennis and social membership all at a reduced price.
The Tennis Club has a full-time LTA Licensed Bi-lingual Head Coach, Tom James (LLB Hons, Tennis Coach of the Year 2007 & Month May 2011) an assistant coach Tom Richards and a qualified tennis cardio instructor Adriano Arpino, who are available to provide coaching for all levels and abilities.
We run 10 winter and 11 summer adult teams (Mens, Ladies, Mixed & Vets) in the Tennis Wales South Wales Doubles Leagues and Aegon Leagues as well as 10 summer junior teams! We also provide a number of junior and adult LTA tournaments throughout the year as well as internal club matches, Club Championships, Road to Wimbledon and the Cardiff Cup.
Our club currently has over 230 members of which over half are juniors and has developed into one of the best in South Wales with great support from the local community and strong links with the local schools.
Rhiwbina Tennis Club has a great blend of coaching, competition and social play (every Thursday night& Saturday afternoon) for all age groups and abilities.
